I completely agree with you on kids acting like Drake is some big philosopher.
My high school gives the senior class t-shirts to whoever went to prom. Ours have some text on the back and YOLO underneath. The only use I have for the shirt is if I ever get too poor to buy toilet paper.
In middle school our theme was ‘Don’t Stop Believing’. Lame? Yes. But at least that’s memorable. YOLO will never stand the test of time, and that’s part of where my hatred comes from.
I came up with a retort to ‘the motto’: FYOO (Fuck You Only Once)
