i like some of the elements (like her doing the jimmy paige-esque bow playing on the banjo), but in the overall i find it fails for me. she seems rather interesting and i’d probably go find more of her stuff to see if i like that more. she seems like an artist that i could like but she doesn’t seem to quite have pulled off this work. (also personal annoyance for me when artists cover songs originally done by someone from the opposite sex flipping gender words frivolously, it doesn’t always work to word do a replace all)
