  1. I notice that a lot of your hatred still has mostly to do with Fred, and that’s my main gripe as well. Come to think of it, after talking to many other Bizkit fans, that’s everyone’s problem with the band. You said in your Nookie review how you didn’t have much of a problem with the rest of the band, so imo come up with more legit reasons to hate them. I’ll agree that Nookie is ridiculously badly written, but the music itself make it sound catchy and hell, I even shout “YEAH” at the appropriate time just because I like the song.
I’m just saying that at least on my end I justify my love for Limp Bizkit(despite them being a guilty pleasure, replace Fred with anyone else and I’d be a proud Bizkit fan) but really, if the only problem you have is Fred, then knock him not the band =\

    • thats the problem, fred is the front man of limp bizkit, making him the face and voice of the band (at least to the genral music listener) and for many people, hating the front man is more then enough to hate the band. to most people who aren’t that into the band, the other memebers would be easilly replacable, its a said fact but its true.

  2. While I agree with some of the criticisms of this album, I still kind of enjoyed ‘Gold Cobra’ because of it’s pure nostalgic value for me. I was myself one of the ‘angry 12-year-olds’ during Limp Bizkit’s hayday (‘Chocolate Starfish’ was the 2nd album I ever bought) and other bands like Korn, Slipknot and Linkin Park were a big part of my teens and I still listen to their old nu-metal albums with fondness.

  3. i actully like limp bizkit and have the album gold cobra i hate fred but i just cant stop listening to limp bizkit because i like their music but i know the band isnt that talented

the songs gold cobra, loser, auntotunage and douchebag are real bad songs just like nookie was

but i love the songs bring it back, break stuff, rollin,my generation, my way, why try, shark try and eat you alive

  4. Yeah, I’m a Limp Bizkit fan, it’s actually becoming old news to hate them only cause of Fred Durst. The album was good, and no offense but I think most of your complaints seem to come from your hatred for Durst.

  5. I was rather disappointed by Gold Cobra. (Not to mention just about every L.B. album after Chocolate Starfish.) It sounded too watered down like a lot of the mainstream Nu-Metal of the early 2000′s. The only track I actually enjoyed was Shark Attack, a song quickly becoming one of my favorite Limp Bizkit songs. The genre itself has been losing steam ever since around 2002-2003, and in my opinion, “Gold Cobra” and “The Path of Totality” are just pushing us ever closer to the inevitable final nail in the coffin for poor old Nu-Metal.
